Having our wedding at St. Peter’s Cork was the best decision we ever made. It happened to be the first place we looked at, and after meeting with Eileen, getting a tour of the building, the artwork and exhibitions, we knew we wanted to work with her. Not only was Eileen so relaxed and easy to talk to, the space itself has an energy that just feels good…… For ourselves, both working in the arts field, we needed a place to be within a modest budget as well as a venue that allowed our personalities to shine through. St. Peter’s is that place. And even though we were in charge of organising all the various elements of the wedding itself; the catering, the band, table hires, coffee etc., Eileen was not only there to recommend local vendors, but she facilitated those pieces coming together and put us at ease all along the way. Her staff are absolutely lovely, incredibly friendly, capable and organised. We were taken such good care of, and really felt as if we could just enjoy our friends and family. It was seamless. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at St. Peter’s and highly recommend anyone to using the space for their next event.

Why Cork is a great choice for your Civil Ceremony
Cork was called the Venice of the North, for all its riverways of the beautiful River Lee. The city boasts 29 bridges within the city, ideal for picturesque Civil Ceremony photographs in the centre of Cork City. Tree flanked avenues such as the North and South Mall mix with stunning Georgian architecture and old city charm, offering unique photo opportunities throughout the city. Gorgeous University grounds, idyllic riverside parks and narrow medieval streets of the Old Town all provide gorgeous backdrop for your civil ceremony photos.

Fabulous Church Alternatives for your Civil Ceremony Venue
Cork is a city of steeples, from the ornate Finbarr’s Cathedral to the cheery tower of the Shandon bells you are never too far from a church. However, many couples may prefer a hint of the church wedding without the religious aspect and Cork can offer classic, ancient venues for your perfect Civil Ceremony. Deconsecrated medieval churches, to old sea Forts and harbour castles, the city is ripe for the picking when it comes to alternative civil ceremony locations.
