The Howling Hecate is a duo formed by the local Americana/Folk artists Leah Sohotra and Hanora George. Their first EP since working together features four songs, including Tuam, dedicated to the victims of the Magdalene laundries. The additional songs on the EP draw inspiration from folk tales and literature, personal narrative and the lives and stories of people with a mischievous troublesome streak, both living and deceased. Their sound is dominated by vocal harmonies and rhythmic interaction. The set, which mixes originals and some covers, includes a number of a cappella pieces, which are well suited to the acoustics of St. Peter’s lofty venue
