Cork’s Distilling Legacy: an Exhibition by Jameson
Place: St. Peter's Cork
We are delighted to bring you a new exhibition for Summer 2018. Cork’s Distilling Legacy is a brand new exhibition which offers an insight into one of Ireland’s most fascinating industries.
This pop-up exhibition shines a light on Cork’s proud history of distilling. Discover the North Mall in 1789, Midleton Distillery in 1825, and the Cork Distilleries Company in 1867. All are part of Cork’s long tradition of producing great Irish whiskeys, enjoyed the world over today.
Learn also about the world’s largest Pot Still which was found in its original site at the Jameson Distillery in Midleton. After taking in this exhibition, why not take a tour of Jameson Distillery Midleton. Visit the workplace of Jameson Irish Whiskey. See for yourself where every drop of Jameson is produced today, amid the lush fields of southern Ireland. This visit promises a host of unique experiences, from a workshop at the state of the art Irish Whiskey Academy to developing a new appreciation for Irish whiskey, from grain to glass.
