Here’s our events for the week:
Tuesday 9th: 11am Historic Walking Tour of Cork
Join our local tour guide for a walk along Cork’s oldest streets, starting from outside the main gates of Elizabeth Fort and finishing up in Shandon. The tour starts at 11am and takes approx. 1.5/2hrs. This tour is a free version of our summer walking tours!
Friday 12th: 12pm Spanish Walking Tour
Spanish tour guide Juan is leading a free walking tour of Cork City in Spanish! The tour meeting point is the fountain on Grand Parade. Friday 12th April: Making Sense of Us Talk
1pm and 5.30pm at St. Peter’s Cork
Eoin MacCuirc of the Central Statistics Office will present this talk. Surprising stories with M&M’s, historical statistical tomes and a wonderful web of data to give us a sense of Cork, old and new. There is a treasure trove of information freely available online that sheds light on Cork past and present. Eoin will happily take you through these sources, sharing stories and insights and inviting you to explore further!
