Clás Fine Art Exhibition
Date: December 5th-Jan 3rd
Place: Mezzanine Gallery St Peter's Cork
Tickets: Free of Charge
Visit St Peter’s Cork throughout December to enjoy Clás, a fine art exhibition from four Cork Artists. The launch will take place in our Mezzanine Gallery on Wednesday December 5th from 5.30pm. We are delighted that Cork author Cónal Creedon will officially open this stunning collection.
The premise of this exhibition is simple, it seeks to showcase a diverse approach to the artists’ chosen mediums by a group of makers who currently work in Cork city.
Despite having worked closely within the same studio environment, the exhibition will highlight how each crafts-person displays a unique enquiry and response to their chosen discipline.
Currently residing in the town of Cobh, Aine Farrell makes framed landscapes influenced by her natural environment and surrounds.
The work of Sinead Gibbons is primarily sculptural involving the assemblage of small clay components in the creation of magnificent intricate objects.
Carol Mac Gabhann is an artist who was initially drawn to the medium of ceramic materials for creative expression but has since expanded her artistic repertoire to engage in many mediums .
Most recently she has delved into working with bronze figurative pieces. These beautiful pieces invite the sensitive observer to experience the mood each one so imaginatively portrays.
Combining her own drawings with glazes and found imagery, Lucia Parle continues to develop a range of unique decorative plates and wall based hand built ceramics.
All are very welcome to visit this stunning collection free of charge throughout December. See you at St Peter’s for an oasis of calm during the Christmas rush!
Exhibition runs until January 3rd.
